Wat Chedi Luang

Next day its off again early, our first stop is Chedi Luang - the oldest Wat in Chiang Saen, built in 1291 which is said to contain relics of the Lord Buddha. Its bricks are covered in weeds but the Vihan or temple altar and Buddha which is still in its original setting are now protected by a roof structure.
