I feel the earth move under my feet
Earthquake procedures are posted right at the back of the Hotel Information folder - unlike the ones in New Zealand which are pasted on the back of the doors. Luckily they give similar advice:-
Northern California is prone to earthquakes and if an earthquake occurs, hotel guests should:
- Crawl under a solid desk or piece of furniture or:
- Stand under an open doorway.
- Keep away form glass walls or windows.
New Zealand were very keen for you not to go outside too.

Crikey. Does that mean their furniture is built better than their buildings? Just kiddin! Wouldn't fancy being in a big quake.
No me neither - hope they hold off till we are home!
