Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! We saw the New Year in watching fireworks over Sydney Harbour. It was a marathon 10 hour session. We got to the Botancial Gardens early in the afternoon to secure our spot and start the party! It was a fantastic night. The bridge is nicknamed the coathanger and was celebrating its Diamond Anniversary - 75 years.

Sounds great. Happy New Year to everyone. Edinburgh Street Party for Hogmanay was cancelled due to weather, so you're on the right side of the world!! x

The rain has got to us here this evening and more is forecast for tomorrow which might be a welcome interuption for the cricket! Its not like rain in the UK though, which can set in for the day, tonights was a heavy downpour which didn't last long at all.

I haven't figured out how to edit out the sound of the film yet - sounded as though I was enjoying something else!!

The fireworks were really stunning, that was only a bit of it, the finalé. Prior to that they had been popping off all over the place, absolutely amazing. Someone said there were 3.5 tons of fireworks used.

London's fireworks looked good on the tele here. Sorry Edinburghs celebrations were cancelled I expect a lot of people were disappointed.

They may have been. We were tucked up with the neighbours next door, with the girls singing and dancing to entertain!! They lasted til 12.30, it was brilliant. Another year. May all our wishes come true x

That sounds a lovely way to see in the New Year too in its own very special way.
