Meltdown!

England managed to break another record on the 5th day. They now have the dubious honour of having the highest scoring first innings ever at 551 for 6 declared to go on and lose a Test Match!

When it got too hot and too tense on the last day I ambled around taking photos of tee-shirts, there were some great ones around.

There were lots more tee-shirts but I didn't have time to fight with Blogger anymore as our flight was called! I'll put them up at some point.

We could do with Vaughan fit and Monty playing and that is all I can say. We have the capability, we showed that on the first four days! It's a mind thing and I don't know what they can do about it :-((

I think you're a hundred percent correct, the idea that Giles could have any effect on the last day at Adelaide was rediculous. My mates and I were relieved when they announced the team and Monty wasn't playing, I believe my exact words were 'they're going to regret that if it's close on day five!'

I think Vaughan has to help with keeping the crew calm, he's a great captain whose been there before, and with more than a little talent.

Never, Never, Never show the Aussie Cricket team you're intimidated. They'll take you to pieces. I think Collingwood was pathetic in that respect (great 200 though) his strike rate which was like 18 and a half just said we're not trying to win. Oz doesn't lose when you take that attitude. Although, credit to Warne who had an exceptional day after his first innings thrashing.
